Accomplishments:

• Founding the Peel Board of Basketball Officials in 1968

• Formed the first recognized Executive of the PRBABO in 1974 and held the positions of Interpreter and Referee in Chief

• Inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame 1981

• Awarded the J.A. Wink Wilcox award 1989

• Over 25 years officiating university basketball (men’s & women’s)Life membership with MTBABO, OABO and IABBO Working two national championships.

• A member of the PRBABO for 37 years. “I am very proud of the accomplishments of the PRBABO over the many years. Officiating basketball has afforded me the opportunity to follow my passion, travel and to make some lifelong friendships.”

Accomplishments:

• Charter member of the Peel Board which was established in 1974.

• Served as Assignor for 3 years and Interpreter for 11 years.

• Co-chairman of only OABO seminar and AGM hosted by Peel in 1994.

• Represented Peel at the annual IAABO fall Interpreters meeting from 1983 to 2002 and the OABO AGM during the same period.

• Primarily responsible for rewriting the Constitution in the early 80s. Initiated and led the process of Peel becoming its own IAABO Board in 1998.

• Officiated numerous PSSAA and ROPSSAA championship finals. Chosen as Peel’s representative at several boys and girls OFSAAs, OBA Championships, OCA men’s Provincial Championship and Ontario Summer Games.

• Winner of CABO’s ‘Wink’ Wilox Award of Merit in 2006.

• A member of PRBABO for 28 years I started my basketball officiating ‘career’ with Peel and all of my successes I owe to the mentors I had in my developing years who had passion and dedication and were more than willing to share their experience with me to help me become a better official. I value the time I had in PRBABO and hope that in some ways I have contributed to the growth and development of both the association and its individual members.

Accomplishments:

• Serving as Vice President, President, Past President, Assignor/ Supervisor of College Panel and member of IAABO for 44 years.

• A member of PRBABO for 26 years "Of course any success that I had could only be achieved because of the support I had from the Executive and fellow committee members and the membership itself"

Accomplishments:

• Served as PRBABO Treasurer, President, Past President and on several PRBABO committees.

• Joined Toronto board 1950; officiated at all levels of basketball from minor atom to intercollegiate senior, including several years as an approved NWBA wheelchair basketball official.

• A member of PRBABO for 30 years "I want to thank the basketball community in general and the PRBABO membership in particular, for the opportunity to be part of a great sport. The many fond memories of my officiating career will remain with me for the rest of my life."

Accomplishments:

• Served as VP of Evaluation, VP of Education and President

• A member of PRBABO for 43 years.  One of the original members of the association.

Accomplishments:

• Served as Secretary, VP Evaluation, Editor of The Whistle (OABO Executive) for 7 years, IAABO and OABO/CABO Member for 30+ years.

• Retired in 2005.

• A member of PRBABO for 36 years. I have great memories of the many accomplishments of PRBABO members and how well respected they are across Ontario.
